What we collect when you use this site, why we collect it, who else touches it, and how to get it removed.
Who we are
This site is operated by Smart Yeti LLC, an Illinois limited liability company, trading as Smart Yeti (“Smart Yeti,” “we,” “us”), with a mailing address in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. We are the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect
Information you give us
If you submit the Growth Continuity Check form, we collect what you type into it: your name, email address, phone number (optional), firm name, industry, rough firm size, your role, what is prompting the conversation, and your rough timing.
If you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, firm name (optional), and your message.
We do not ask for and do not want sensitive information. Please do not put confidential client details, financial data, or anything covered by an NDA into these forms.
The Growth Dependence check
The 3‑minute Growth Dependence check is scored entirely in your browser. Your answers are worked out on your own device and are not transmitted to us as you take it.
After your result appears, you may optionally ask us to email it to you. Only then do your answers, your score, your free‑text comment, and the email address you give us leave your browser. If you never use that option, we receive nothing at all from the check.
If you write something in the optional free‑text box, it is also held in your browser so it can prefill the Growth Continuity Check form if you go on to book a call. We see that only if you submit that form.
Information collected automatically
Our host records standard server logs when a page is served, including your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and a timestamp. These are used for security and to keep the site running.
Analytics
If, and only if, you accept analytics when asked, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and how they arrive. This sets cookies in your browser and sends Google your IP address in truncated form. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, no analytics scripts load and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time on our Cookie Policy page.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to you. When you submit a form, we use your details to respond and, where relevant, to propose a time to talk. Lawful basis: performing steps at your request before entering a contract.
- To run and secure the site. Server logs. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and protected from abuse.
- To understand how the site is used. Analytics. Lawful basis: your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it for advertising. We do not add you to a marketing list because you filled in a form, and we do not run an email newsletter from this site.
Who processes it on our behalf

Netlify and Resend act as processors under our instructions. Google acts as an independent controller for the data it receives through Analytics. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, note that your information is transferred to the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent transfer mechanism.
That is the complete list. This site loads no fonts, scripts, images, or embeds from anyone else. Our typefaces are served from our own domain, so no third party sees your IP address when you simply read a page.
How long we keep it
- Form submissions: kept while we are in conversation and for up to 24 months afterwards, so we can pick up a thread you started. Removed sooner on request.
- Emailed check results: the submission is kept alongside other form submissions. We do not add the address to any list, and nothing further is sent to it.
- Server logs: retained by our host on their standard schedule, typically 30 days.
- Analytics data: retained by Google for 14 months, if you accepted analytics.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email jeremy@smartyeti.co and we will respond within 30 days. We will not charge you and we will not treat you differently for asking.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to or restrict processing, the right to data portability, the right to withdraw consent at any time, and the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies unless you accept analytics. The full detail, including how to change your choice, is on our Cookie Policy page.
Children
This site is aimed at people running engineering, construction, and manufacturing firms. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or who processes it, we will update this page and move the “last updated” date above. Material changes affecting information already collected will be raised with you directly where we have your contact details.
