Cookie Policy
This site sets no cookies unless you accept analytics. Here is exactly what can be set, and how to change your mind.
The short version
Browse this site without accepting anything and no cookies are set at all. There is no advertising network here, no tracking pixel, no social media widget, and no session cookie. The only cookies that can ever appear are Google Analytics cookies, and only after you press Accept.
Declining costs you nothing. Every page works identically either way.
Cookies set only if you accept analytics
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another | 2 years |
_ga_<id> |
Google Analytics | Keeps track of the current visit | 2 years |
These are first‑party cookies, readable only by this site, but the data they generate is sent to Google. Google’s own handling is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
What we store without cookies
When you answer the cookie banner, your answer is saved in your browser’s local storage under the key sy-consent. This is not a cookie, is never sent to our server, and exists purely so the banner stops asking. Clearing your browser data removes it and the banner returns.
If you take the 3‑minute Growth Dependence check and write something in the optional free‑text box, that text is held in your browser’s session storage under sy-worry so it can prefill the Growth Continuity Check form if you click through. It is never sent to us unless you actually submit that form, and it is discarded when you close the tab.
No other third parties
Our typefaces are served from our own domain rather than from Google Fonts, so reading a page here contacts nobody but us. There are no embedded videos, maps, chat widgets, or social buttons anywhere on the site. If you decline analytics, your visit involves no third party at all.
One exception, and only by your choice: if you ask us to email you your Growth Dependence check result, that submission is handled by Netlify and delivered by Resend. Neither sets a cookie on this site.
Change your choice
Checking your current setting…
This clears your saved answer, deletes any analytics cookies already set, and brings the banner back so you can choose again.
Managing cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you see, block, and delete cookies independently of any site. Look under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking all cookies will not break anything here, because nothing on this site depends on them.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add a service that sets cookies, this table will be updated before it goes live, and the banner will ask you again.
